The skills and qualifications that we would like to see in our new Data Engineer:
- University degree in a technological or quantitative field (postgraduate studies will be appreciated)
- Ideally, 1-2 years of work experience (including internships)
- Proficiency in SQL and related processes (query building, ETL flows, stored procedures etc), as well as data structures and data optimization techniques
- Solid knowledge in at least 1-2 popular RDBMS solutions (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other) and familiarity with NoSQL databases
- At least basic experience in data visualization and reporting
- Non-essential but highly desirable:
- Hands-on experience in Cloud systems and/or Data Warehouse environments
- Coding skills in Python, R or other language for data analysis
- Exposure to Data APIs and data streaming
- Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and tools (open source or commercial)
