We are Acistorm, a tech company based in Athens, Greece, with a simple mission: to help organisations transform successfully through advanced technology.
We are on a constant strive to harness the magic of computing for the benefit of our customers, and software development is a key ingredient. We are now looking to onboard a Junior Developer, who will be charged with coding his way to great projects and products!
The skills and qualifications that we would like to see in our new Junior Developer:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technological field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering etc) – postgraduate studies will be appreciated
- Ideally 1-2 years of work experience (including internships)
- Solid understanding of core development concepts, such as object-oriented programming, data and control structures, and data I/O manipulation
- Proficiency in coding and advanced skills in at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript etc.
- Exposure/familiarity with popular development frameworks, such as React, Node.js, Express, Django, Laravel, Spring, .Net or other
- At least basic data manipulation skills from SQL or NoSQL data sources
- Understanding and skills in development using MVC design patterns
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, using SVC tools (e.g. Git)
- Non-essential but highly desirable:
- Hands-on experience in Cloud systems and/or Cloud PaaS development frameworks (e.g. Heroku, Azure App Service, Google Cloud Development Kit etc)
- Skills in API and/or web services development
- Exposure to CI/CD and automation concepts
- Understanding of development for mobile applications (iOS SDK or Android SDK)
Even if you don’t 100% match the above, we still want to hear from you if you have the willingness to adapt to a quick-pace environment and continuously enhance your skill set; we firmly believe that smart and talented people can acquire any skill given the right training and practice.
